I’ve always dreamed of visiting the tulip fields in Holland and never through that I’ll have fields so close to me in the UK.

Where to find the fields?

The tulip fields are located in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, post code PE32 1AR.

How to get there?

From where I live, I took the underground to Kings Cross and then a train to Kings Lynn, which took 2hours and 10 mins.

From the station to the fields you have two options :

1. From the station you have to walk for approximately 6 mins to the bus stop and take the 48 bus to Clock and then you change with 48 again (think it’s going the opposite way) to Station Road then walk for 13 minutes.

2. You can take a taxi from the station to the fields, car ride about 15 minutes, and we payed 14£ to 16£ per ride. We also took the taxi drivers card and called him to pick us up at the end of the day.

If taking a taxi, please bare in mind that they are very limited, especially in school runs, we called before arriving 10 different companies who told us they have no availability till evening. The minute we got off the train we ran towards the taxi stop as we were told there might be one or two outside the station, and luckily we caught the first one.

Where to buy the tickets from?

The tickets are going for sale online giving you time slots to choose. Once online, you need to be really quick in getting them as they will be gone very quickly. My friend only managed to get one ticket for her, and we then had to email the company to ask how we can get another one. It took a few days till someone replied and we were told as long as one of us had the ticket we could get the second one at the gate, which is what we did in the end.
