This year I had the amazing opportunity to spend my birthday weekend in Cannes. Extremely excited as this was my first time going to Cannes and let’s be honest who doesn’t want to visit this extremely famous place where all the movie stars gather for the yearly Film Festival.

I was also interested to see the well known French Riviera, this beautiful Mediterranean coastline of the southeast corner of France, known for it’s glamorous beach resorts in Cannes, St. Tropez and Monaco, a place that through the years attracted aristocrats and artists from all over the world.

Our journey started on Friday morning, when I woke up with this incredible feeling of joy and excitement for what was next to come. With a one and half hr drive to Gatwick airport, a two and half hr flight to Nice and one hour drive from Nice To Cannes, we were finally there, to the most beautiful hotel I have seen, Hotel Barriere Le Majestic, this luxury hotel on the Croisette in Cannes.

The Barriere Le Majestic is an icon of elegance and luxury that welcomes you into a world of refinement offering all the comfort of a legendary luxury hotel. The hotel is located in the centre of the town of Cannes on the Croisette at 25 km from the airport of Nice, 1km from the gare de Cannes, and it faces the palais des Festivals on the Croisette.

The hotel was built in 1962 and it belongs to the Lucien Barriere group and it is a traditional hotel for film stars attenting the Cannes festival. The hotel lobby and all of its rooms, suites and corridors reflect the latest trends bringing together luxury, tradition and modernity. It has 17 representative halls for conferences, receptions, cocktail and festive events. Has 3 restaurants, a piano bar, Bar du Fouquet’s and a luxurious brasserie, Fouquet’s Cannes. With 305 rooms, 23 of which are suites with balcony views, most of them facing the Mediterranean, an outside swimming pool, private sand beach, a casino and so many more, this is definitely a must see when in Cannes.

We were so spoiled for our entire stay, from breakfast in bed to spa treatments, dinners at the most exquisite restaurants, cocktail workshops and wine tasting, they all led to the most incredible experience and really thankful to all the Barriere team for this opportunity.

I have inserted a video from two of the suites, one of them being the Dior Suite, where believe or not each year the team from Dior come and change the decor, so it’s never the same.
